Joyce was born on 23rd April 1939 in Mill End, Kenilworth,Warwickshire. The daughter of Edith & Reg Ashfield A sister to Cecil & Reg. She attended the Infant School in School Lane Kenilworth,and became a member of the Girl Guides. Joyce moved to the senior school at the Blundells Kenilworth where at the age of 12 she first met Michael aged 15 who went on to become her Husband. After leaving school Joyce started working at Penmans Solicitors in Coventry. She spent the next two years going out with Michael,who joined the RAF Regiment During that time Joyce moved to Penmans office in Kenilworth where she became a secretary. When Michael returned from the RAF, they married at St Nicholas Church Kenilworth on 4th April 1959 Joyce moved into Brooke Road Kenilworth and went on to have 2 children, Judith & Anthony ,returning to work at Penmans when the Children went to School,where she worked until her retirement. She kept in contact with many of her work collegues,especially her very good friend Di. Joyce had kept very active during her life, playing badminton,tennis and golf with Michael and their friends She also became a member of the Kenilworth W.I and Townswomens guild. Thursdays were spent going out to lunch with Janet & Brian. Joyce and Michael spent many happy years caravanning with family and friends,spending many holidays in Lyme Regis/Charmouth Dorset. She also loved her Little Island in Greece (Skiathos)where she spent many happy holidays with friends John & Sylvia Peters & Bobby & Charlie Payne and her Children and Grandchildren. More recently she travelled further afield,cruising the Caribbean aboard Ocean Village,again sharing it with family first with Anthony & Sue and later with Judith & Vicky. Joyce passed peacefully away on 1st September 2010 in Myton Hospice with her family beside her. No more in our Lives But in our hearts Forever
